Hello CE friends!! We wish everyone an awesome, safe, happy, and healthy NEW YEAR!!
Who is ready for a new challenge?? Simply be inspired at least one element from the picture below. Perhaps the roman numerals, clock hands clocks shapes, colors etc. Just let us know what you are inspired by in the description of your blog post. The twist is to use numbers on your projects. Please read the guidelines below for more information to our challenges.
Now onto the amazing reveal by our NEW January – June 2017 design team. They totally rocked it out! I love how they were inspired so differently by the picture above. 🙂
I was inspired by the gold color if the image, on my page, I opted to emboss my circle doodle frame, I just love theses frames, they are the perfect size to use as an overlay on the pictures. The second element is the addition of the numbers. In this case, I opted to stencil them on my background using my Distress Inks.
I was inspired by the clock with the Roman numerals and decided to use the Large Clock Face 5″, which I left plain, as my main focal point. I also used a Grunge Arrow towards the bottom of my layout. I added 3 Hearts and backed them all with patterned paper.
Happy New Year everyone! 2017…really? Where does time go?
I took my inspiration from the clock and numbers in the photo. It reminded me of Steampunk so I went with that theme on my layout. I’ve used lots of Steampunk chippies, in the left corner is a corner from the Steampunk Corner Set, and on the right side of the photos, I used Steampunk Clock and Gear Cluster. I scattered random gears from the Gear 1 1/2″ (Set of 12) and Mini Gears 3/4″ (set of 12) sets around the layout. Then, for my title I used Explore from the Adventure Word Set and the fun Idea bulbs.
Happy New Year All!
I love the inspiration this month. It reminded me of greek mythology and the ancient times of fortunes, myths and superstitions. I decided to use the Zodiac Signs, I simply sprayed them with some different colored spray, and used the Roman numeral 2. Along with layering I added the Arrow Stencil sporadically on different layers on the layout.
Using the color blue from the mood board and some #’s in the large clock 3″ as the twist I created “Merry Christmas” page. I added the sticker Time flies and wrote in when you’re having fun. I used lots of other chipboards too….. Title which is Nuvo glitter glued, circles mat inked and stickled, the Nuvo glitter glued pine tree and the white ink and Nuvo glitter glue snowflakes. Love the added sparkle and glow to the winter page on all the fabulous chipboards.
Hi everyone and Happy New Year! I had fun with this month’s inspiration photo and created 3 large tags. I used the Distressed Text Stamp in the background to start. My focal points are the cute Mini Pocket Watch chippies! I tucked in a few chippy Gears to finish them all off. I hope you join along with this months challenge and can not wait to see what you all create.
Happy New Year! As soon as I saw this months challenge I instantly thought of Alice in Wonderland. On the background, I used several different mediums and also stamped with the Grunge Star Stamp. I decided to use the Steampunk Clock 8″ since the inspirational photo kinda looks like a clock to me and it also has numbers on it, so it worked perfectly for the twist. First I painted the clock with some Jade colored paint and then embossed it with some black and then some copper embossing powder. I used black embossing powder on the Wavy Film Strip and on a movie ticket from the Movie Night 6 Piece Set.
Here is a process video of my layout…
Happy,Happy, Happy New Year!! It’s been sooo long since I created a layout. It took me forever to get through it. I was inspired by the colors and clocks from the challenge picture. I was inspired to do sort of a then and now page. My oldest son Ryan recently financed his first vehicle. I am so proud of him and I hope this year is even more prosperous for him. He works hard for every dime. We bought him his first “vehicle” for his 1st Christmas 23 years ago. It was a power wheels big foot. He was 6 months at the time but that summer after he caught on quickly how to drive it. We have to adjust the pedal so he could reach. He caught onto things very easily as a youngster. So I guess it was no surprise he would be a successful adult.
I altered all the chippie pieces with sunset gold lumiere paint by jaquard. I used black soot distress stain on the rest of the chippies. I kept it simple since its been awhile since I created a scrappy page. The items are linked directly to the CE store so simply click them to be directed there. Small Steampunk Timepieces, clock hands, large 4″ clock , chain border, cut apart gear frame, bright idea bulbs, spark plugs, steampunk chain frame clock, cut apart gear corner, gears and Independence Day word set.
I have to start by saying I am so excited to be part of this amazing team! I loved the products here anyway so that makes it doubly special for me! So-HAPPY 2017! To start this new year off I have created a page of my favorite subjects-my little grandsons Brian & Talan! I was inspired by the clock and numbers-love using those items! I used a texture sand paste on the word “together”. I used a snow pen on the branch. I used the 3″ clock along with one of the 2 smile set flairs. Looking forward to seeing your projects!
Hello 2017 ! I hope you spent many good Happy holidays with your family and your friends. I wish you that 2017 has brillant fire, that this year to be full of love, of happiness and the point which is most important for me, that the health is good and with a lot of time at your scrap table.
I applied a coast of texture paste clear crackle on my background. With the Fairy Dust 2 stencil, I added gold interference gel at certain place to put this gold point that I like for the parties. With a brush, I applied Neocolor II on my background on texture paste clear crackle. I have fun to make the embossing in tone on tone with Grunge Stars Stamp, the Versamark and the embossing powder. To add contrast, I stamped with a black ink. I applied a gold glitter ink on the Large Snowflake Set chipboard directly. I enjoyed painting Pine Trees Creative Embellishments chipboard with the acrylic paint and I covered the Large Clock with black gesso. I finished my page by making splatters of India ink.
For this month’s challenge, I’ve created a pair of Grungy, Mixed Media Tags – with Inspirational Quotes for the New Year! I save all my ‘remnants’ of chipboard from my projects – so for this challenge, I’ve used bits and pieces of chipboard leftover from previous projects! I used part of a Mini Brick Panel, part of a Large Clock Face, and a couple of Gears and a Clock Hand. All the chipboard pieces were altered using Finnabair’s Rust Paste collection by Prima, along with a splatter of Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst Mist in Time Travel Teal, a splattering of watered-down white gesso and some Inka Gold Metallic Rub in Champagne. For this challenge’s twist to use numbers – I’ve embossed the tags using (1) a December Calendar Embossing Folder (by Tim Holtz/Sizzix) and (2) a Number Collage Embossing Folder (by Cuttlebug). I’ve also used Roman Numerals on the Large Clock Face and the Clock Faces on the smaller tags layered on the the larger ones. To play up the numbers element even more – the small tags are embellished with Tim Holtz Reinforcers in calendar and number collage patterns! I also used the Creative Embellishments Distressed Text Stamp along with some Brilliance Moonlight White Ink to do some random stamping on the background of the base tag.
Have an amazing start to the New Year!
