Lisa

Hey there! I am excited to be here and sharing my first project! I was inspired by the blues & peach in the photo along with the winter theme. This photo is from a camping trip in October when it snowed! Yeah, we were a little cold, LOL! For my background, I added watercolors and then  used the Twinkle Stamp. I colored the  Snowflake Frame 2 with some mists and placed it around my photo. For my title, I used the word “Camping” from the Camping Word Set along with the Basic Alphabet Set and added acrylic paints to them. I added some Chipboard Snowflakes colored with Gesso and mists. Then I added some Stickles to add some sparkle. I used acrylic paints and Stickles on the chipboard camper from the Camping Set.

Winter Wonderland Snow Day Scrapbook Layout with Frosty Chipboard Embellishments

What a fun and frosty inspiration piece! I was drawn to the soft color palette, snowflakes, and trees. I used a photo I took after a huge snow storm that dropped nearly two feet of snow and left us stranded in our home for over a week. My daughters had an absolute blast in the snow, which was the most they could ever remember seeing. I stenciled chalk ink snowflakes onto the background of the cardstock I used for the base of this page to add a subtle print to the paper. Next, I assembled a design with lost of fun patterns and stickers. Lastly, I embellished my layout with the Winter Wonderland Chipboard Title, which includes the fun tree, and Chipboard Snowflakes. I altered all the chipboard the same way, with a base coat of white paint, a thin layer of DecoArt Snow-Tex, and a sprinkling of mica flakes while the mediums were still wet.

Debbie Burns

Hi everyone!  Debbie here with my first post as a new member of the Creative Embellishments design team. I love the January mood board and was inspired to create a Wintry Canvas by the sparkles, snow and texture from the woolen sweater and mittens.  I treated the canvas with some crackle texture paste,  fiber texture paste  and a lite spray of  pink mist along with some rose gold wax paste to achieve the aged look. I used the snowflake frame from the Winter Frame Set, which I embossed white and added some rose gold wax and rose glitter.  Tucked within my layers is some wool lace and Chipboard Snowflakes which I embossed white and added some rose glitter.  The title “Sparkle” is from the Snow Pretty Word Set, also embossed white with some rose glitter.  For the twist, add snow, I applied some snowflake texture paste to the pine cones and flowers.

Sandi

Welcome to 2019, everyone! Sandi Clarkson here with you today sharing my take on the January Challenge. I was inspired by the soft pastels in the Challenge image along with all the seasonal photos which spoke “transition” to me.  I usually take my Christmas tree down on New Years Day, thus my New Years card and tag. This is my first ever teepee (pyramid) card but certainly not my last! For the snow twist, I added some textured Glitter Snow and paint splattering. Creative Embellishments chipboard used were Pine cone clusters,  Antlers,  Berry frame 4 and the Holiday Sentiment Words.

Shona Keehn

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!! This is my layout created from the inspiration photo for the January challenge. I have used the Snowflake frame to frame my photo and added in a Vintage Flourish with the clusters. I also cut a Window Shutter and used it as a border piece on the sides! Have fun playing along and I cant wait to see what you make!!!!!!!!

Heather

Hello All and Happy New Year to you all! I hope this year brings lots of love and creativity your way. And for me I am starting out with a set of shaker cards with the fun and very creative ATC coins Nicolle has in the store. I figured I better be Jen to the punch with her fabulous card making talents, 😉 So I made this set with the Winter Artist Trading Coins.  And with the twist from the mood board to add snow, what better effect than to have some in the shaker window and add some snowflakes and small flourish to to the flower cluster.

Heres the creative video for you.

Jennifer Snyder

Let me start by sending everyone warm wishes for health in 2019.  Jennifer Snyder here with my interpretation of the January  2019 Challenge with it’s frosty beauty.    The twist this month is to add snow to the projects and I have done that with pearls, and floral finishes.

The pink card features the cool new trendy Winter Artist Trading Coins painted white (Heather features these as well with a great video tutorial for shaker cards).  I’m obsessed with Creative Embellishments newest collection of ATC’s. – check out the complete collection of coins here.  The brown card features Large Snowflake Set and Checker Border dotted with pearls for a snowy touch.

Happy New Year!!!!

Tracy McLennon

Hey there and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Tracy McLennon here and today I am sharing my first creation as a part of the Creative Embellishments design team. I love a good inspiration challenge, and for this January Challenge I took inspiration first from the snowflakes. I used this inspiration in the frame I chose and the mini snowflakes as embellishments, than I also wanted to play up the colour pink for the layout. CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS PRODUCTS USED: Intricate Hexagon Frame– I used texture paste to first add a little texture to the chipboard, and then used DecoArt white paint to brighten it up. Using a liquid adhesive I added chunky glitter around the inside edge of the frame. Then added a few plain Dew Drops for a little more shine. Gorgeous Small Border Words– First I painted “radiant” white, then using the same liquid adhesive and chunky glitter I added the sparkle to the swirl ends of the word. White Christmas– I used the 2 mini snowflakes from the White Christmas set, and simply painted them white before adding them as embellishments.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and all the best for 2019.
