Butterfly Kisses

Butterfly Kisses

Hey there scrappy friends!!!  Kathy back with you today to share a layout made of my sweet great niece and nephews.  These little ones are absolutely adorable.

They live in the Pacific Northwest area so it is all about the natural, earthy vibe.  However, great Aunt Kathy is such a flower gal that I had to add my glamour touch to this precious photo.  I started with the Arrow Frame with Hearts applied gesso, for the circular portion I used a Distress Ink.  I used a wonderful H2O watercolor for the hearts.  I wanted them to have a child-like playful feel and look.

Next I heat embossed 2 of those giant butterflies from the Set of 3 Butterflies .  I used the Ranger Distressed Gold Powder which gives a fun textured bumpy effect.

I created my fun flower clusters using burlap flowers from Petaloo flowers (ancient collection) but matches her top perfectly.  I tucked in the Frond Set chipboard.  I painted them with acrylic paint and then gently rubbed the edges with aged gold wax.

At the top left corner I fussy cut a sweet bird, added some gold.  He adds a little something, something don’t you think?

And finally down at the bottom right of the layout is the title “Butterfly Kisses and Dandelion Wishes” courtesy of my Sis, Carol.  Such a sweet sentiment.

Hope you enjoyed you visit today and will stop back for more fun and inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.  Until next time, here’s a Big Alaska Bear Hug!!!
