Hello all, Welcome back. I would like to share a fun layout I made of our recent adventures in the Rocky Mountains. So many adventures on this trip, wild moose, scenic views, and great memories.
Here is a short video for you all.
To get the full effect of the mountains at roughly 12000 feet, snowy peaks at the highest elevation, brown barren where the oxygen is just to thin for much to grow and then the flurishing green at the lower elevations. I used an ombre effect on the Scandinavian Mountains, I added the snow peaks all the way down to the green forests.
I also used the same effect on the Travel Word Set 1. I in cooperated the whole set of words in the page. It help add lift and dimension.
Looking at the background, I wanted to add more peaks and used the diamonds of the Distress Patterns Stencil and some gel medium. It gives a little extra subtle details.
I added more details to the paper with a few of my favourite background stamps. I started with the Distress Crackle Stamp and switched up the colours with the distress scrip stamp. I finished it off with the Distress Chevron Stamp and some bold green.
I topped off the layout with some flower clusters and art stones to fill in the spaces. I think the texture and the dimension of the page is perfect for the feel of the mountains.
Thank you for stopping by today~ keep on the look out for more fun adventures from our summer vacations.
