It’s A Boy

It’s A Boy

Hello dear friends!!  I’m so excited to announced that we have a new baby boy that will be headed our way very soon.  This layout features his first photos taken when he was 6 weeks old.  The photo at the bottom left is not very good, but is the only one I received showing his full little body.  Here’s CHARLIE!!!!

I’ve been searching for Charlie for a very long time after losing the last of my 3 little dachshunds last year.  She was 14 years old.  The house has been very quiet.  This is Charlie’s official birth announcement, and he is my retirement puppy.  I am retiring tomorrow with 39 1/2 years of government experience, and Charlie is coming to be my forever puppy on July 16.  Hubby is flying to Portland, Oregon to pick him up, which is why I used this adorable paper collection with the sweet little airplanes on it and the Tim Holtz Mail Rub On’s.

I love CE’s adorable Leash Frame which I painted red.  I used in as a foundation for the layout and to ground all the photos.  It is such a perfect piece of chipboard.

After creating all the sweet flower clusters around the photos.  I used the Paw Prints to prance across Charlie’s birth announcement.  Pretty cute huh.  I just rubbed the prints in Archival ink to make them black.  There are really cute hearts in the center of the paws.

Of course, I had to title this CAS layout Baby Boy which comes in the Baby Word Set.  I painted it with metallic blue acrylic paint.

Here’s more close-ups

And finally here is Charlie’s announcement

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I sure enjoyed our visit.  Next time, I will be playing all the time!!!  Till then here’s a Big Alaska Bear Hug!!!
