My Graduate Layout

My Graduate Layout

Happy Monday CE Friends!! Wowza I am enjoying seeing all the talent from everyone who have applied to our DT call already. Truly inspiring and it going to be so hard narrowing it down to 7 peeps.

Today I am sharing a layout I created a layout around Kayla girl’s graduation. The ceremony was a little long but I was so happy to see her smiling from ear to ear as she crossed the stage at John F. Kennedy High School. Now onto a new chapter of her life. She is a bit undecided but I am hoping she doesn’t take to long to decide what she wants to do.

IMG_7294   I started by stamping a bunch of different images to the background paper. The stamps used were Distressed Brick, distressed grid, Distressed text and grunge star stamps. I applied TH brick red distressed paint for the brick image, black soot distressed stain for the grid and grunge stars and distressed ink for the text stamps.

IMG_7289   I applied prima chalk edger in ladybug red for the rose chipboard pieces. For the stem I applied a dark brown color with a faber castell pitt pen. The leaves I used a dark green color with a faber castell pitt pen and then applied a little yellow highlight to the center of the leaves with a prima chalk edger. I altered the corner flourish with maya gold in in grey.   Long Stem Roses  Photo or Page Corners Set 2 IMG_7288   I altered the wood veneer numbers with a yellow color faber castell big pitt pen. The wood veneer pencil I use TH pewter distressed stain or the piece that attaches the eraser to the top. For the body of the pencil I used a faber castell pitt pen. The ruler I left natural. For the My Graduate chipboard title pieces I applied gesso for the base and then used prima chalk edgers in yellow and black to create the gradient effect.  Lastly I added a piece of Graduation flair to the top left corner to create the cluster.
