Soar Layout

Happy Friday CE Friends! This week just flew by! I guess what they say is true…the older you get the quicker the days go by. Today  I am sharing a layout I created inspired by a day when my boys were young. My aunt took the kids to  Niagara Falls and they spent the night in a hotel there. I think it’s funny since we are only like 25 minutes away. The had a fun filled day seeing and going on all the attractions. They took a ride in a Hot Air balloon. You can’t see my daughter Kayla cause she was hanging onto the guy in charge of the balloon. She was afraid. She had to have been about 6 or 7. Kayla is a dare devil now. I love the Steampunk Hot Air Balloon my hubby designed. It’s so fun to use. I also stamped the same image with a custom  rubber stamp.

I altered the Hot Air Balloon with Liquid Pearls in the Peacock color. I used a permanent marker for the clock hands.

I cut apart the circles panel and colored with black marker as well. I altered a variety of sizes of chipboard  and wood gears. We have 3 different sizes in chipboard and 2 different styles in wood.

I altered the mini polaroid like frame using Tim Holtz distress stain in the peacock feathers color. I stamped a gear image on to the  mini frame.

I absolutely love steampunk..but I think you have seen me say that a lot.. 🙂
