Haunted House Canvas

Haunted House Canvas

Happy Friday CE friends! Today I am sharing a canvas I created  for  Halloween. I was inspired by our October challenge picture.

Let start with how I altered the haunted house. I applied black gesso for the base coat. I then stenciled a “faux” clay roof onto the porch of the house. I added a little copper lumiere paint to the railings to make them appear sort of rusted. The pumpkins were altered with Orange acrylic paint, faber castell big pitt pen and glossy accents. The spiky gate was altered with black gesso and copper paint as well. The tombstones have a mixture of modeling paste and coarse pumice. I then added grey paint to make the texture pop.The cat, owl and bats from halloween set 1 are both altered with black gesso and swiped with TH weathered wood distress paint. The tree from the halloween set was well as the creepy tree was altered starting with black gesso. I then added ranger crackle medium.( my TH rock candy crackle dried out, total bummer) I then went ahead and added tan acrylic paint and white picket TH distress paint. The web has a little heavy gesso on it with some weathered wood paint. The wood veneer spider I applied red acrylic paint and added a black dot to its back. The sea grass was altered using mowed lawn and a dark green faber castell big pit pen. The wood veneer cat was altered with black gesso and green paint for its eyes.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! Have an amazing weekend!
