Hi everyone! Another super fun inspiration photo to play along with this month! I was inspired by the wings in the photo and added some cute Butterfly chippys to my layout. I also used the Distressed Text Stamp in the background and tucked in a Flourish and piece from the Word Hanger set on the photo. For the mixed media, well I always add touches of masking and paints in the background. I hope you all play along with us this month!
I believe in fairies, do you? I love this month’s challenge photo and I, of course, was inspired by the magical fairies! I used one of our Fairies chippies and a Leafy Vine Frame to create my magical fairy world. I used 3 different colors of embossing powder on the frame to achieve my look on the Leafy Vine Frame. Then the sweet little fairy was painted first with white gesso, then irridescent water colors. After that dried, I dusted her wings with fine glitter and used Stickles on her dress. I just love how this turned out! I hope to see your entry this month!
I love reading – especially fantasy novels – so this month’s inspiration photo was the impetus behind me creating this fairy bookmark! I’ve used one of the Tiny Fairies and one of the Simple Key Hole Plates to create the top of the bookmark. I’ve painted the chipboard pieces with Art Alchemy Metallique Acrylic Paints and added some stickles to the fairy’s wings for some fairy shimmer! I dabbed the light patina paint onto the gold keyhole and painted lace outfit on the fairy so that they would look like the resin pieces I used for the bottom of the bookmark, unifying the look of the piece! I hope this little project inspires you to play along with the Creative Embellishments challenge this month!
I loved the colors and feel of the inspiration that I took the idea and made a wreath. I picked out all kinds of flowers from my stash that were the colors from the picture and then added in lots of swirl chipboard flourishes from Creative Embellishments that I painted in a cream color and then used metallic luster on them to make them shine. I used Flourish Set 15, Flourish 18, Flourish 3, and then added in some cute little Chipboard berries clusters here and there in a dark brown metallic luster paint. Here is video on how I made this wreath.
I can’t wait to see what you can make with this amazing inspiration!
Hi everyone, here we are on Juse 1st ! I love the colors of the inspiration photo. I inspired my of blue, green and yellow colors. And the twist, I had fun to tap some ink on my page and water above ink drops. I used Amazing title that I embossed and Mini Ornate Frames that I embossed also. For the Large Clock,I put of the gesso above and I painted it with 13@rts and Dylusion inks. I applied modeling paste with Circle Bokeh Stencil to add volume. I look forward to your interpretation !!
I was inspired by a few elements from the inspiration picture above such as the fairies, butterfly wings, colors and flowers. One of my favorite techniques is to distress and use modeling paste. The first thing I did was add fairy dust to the background paper using our fairy dust stencil. I added gold embossing powder to the modeling paste and then heat dried it for a cool dust effect. The fancy oval frame was altered using red acrylic paint for the base, TH pewter crackle paint and sealed with glossy accents. The believe title piece from the inspire word set was altered with TH distress paint and red acrylic paint. The spring branch was altered to look like forget – me -nots. I used all acrylic paints. The fairies ..sitting and trio wings were cut off. I cut the wings and replaced them with butterfly set wings and flourish set 3 wings. I dabbed white picket fence to the bodies and turquoise lumiere paint. For added shimmer I added blue stickles to the wings and gold stickles for a dust effect to the bodies.
