I was inspired by the beautiful rich colours in the Inspiration picture to create these “Joie de Vivre” Vintage Tags. I used beautiful toile papers as the background with a leafy pattern. Playing along with the fashion theme of the other papers, I have used two pieces from the Creative Embellishments Mini Dress Form Set of 6 to embellish the tags. I painted the chipboard dress forms with Acrylic Paint in Antique White and then embossed them with some pink glitter and clear embossing powder – picking up on the glittery elements of the papers. For my wooden element, I’ve used two mini wooden clothes pins, which I coloured black and covered with Black Diamond  Stickles so that they would be glittery too!

I just returned from a wonderful fall vacation and I enjoyed seeing the colors so much.  This month’s challenge photo is so pretty and I really did have fall in mind when I started this layout, but it kinda took a turn to elsewhere.  I do have autumn colored leaves and acorns and I really love the contrast of the autumn leaves against the white masking.  The challenge twist is to use something made of wood and I used our wood veneer Autumn Leaves (set of 6) and Fall Leaves (set of 16) on my layout along with chipboard Acorn Clusters and the title piece,  It’s Our Time.  I colored all the leaves and acorns with Lindy’s mists.  I didn’t want to use paint as paint tends to fill in the detailed etching.  I used Stampendous aged ivory embossing enamel on the title piece.

Hi .. Bev here. I was inspired by the photo colours and am creating some fall pages. I used great happy word setfall leaf swag border and a fab 6×6 fishnet panel … all Creative Embellishment chippies. I used some naked, some inked and some with added liquid pearls. I used my newest fishnet stencil using paint. Some sticker leaves and some chipboard leaves accented my fall family page. Look carefully and you’ll find the small copic coloured wood heart for the twist. The photo is relatives celebrating Thanksgiving. I used Photoplay Falling Leaves collection.

Hi everyone! Wow I can not believe it is November already, where has this year gone?? I love the new inspiration photo for this months challenge….I love all the Fall colors and was inspired by them. I used the Distressed Text stamp in the background and the feature chippy is the Flourish Heart Frame. I added in a few Autumn Leaves and finished it all off with a sentiment from the Holiday Sentiment Word Set. I hope you join along with this months challenge and can not wait to see what you all create.

Hi fellow scrappers 🙂   Who is ready for fall? I absolutely love Autumn.. the colors changing and cooler weather ( call me crazy, I know)..But my absolute favorite is crafting with autumn colors.. So, for this months challenge, I created a fall themed layout  using an old Polaroid I found in my photo box..  I also decorated my layout with lots of fun fall chippies such as Branch and Leaf set, Together frame set, Curly hearts and the Heritage word set..  Now time for you to share what you have in mind for your Autumn themed projects..

I really loved the challenge this month – the fall colors and even the wheel image were a huge inspiration (the wheel made me think of this pic of them “in” the tractor LOL). I also added the “twist” of adding something wood – the stars! I left them bare since the naked wood works well with the farm feel of the layout. I also used a pumpkin and bird, both of which I colored with acrylics. And for the border word “family” (at the bottom), I colored it with a sharpie marker. Acrylics are very quick and easy for covering any chipboard area, whereas the marker works perfectly for very thin chipboard. The collection I used is by BoBunny and I fussy cut the leaves out of one of the sheets of paper, and then added leaf veins with an olive colored pencil – otherwise they were a little too plain for my taste.

I was inspired by the fall colors and the overall feel of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The photos is of the Thanksgiving table setting one year. Dh had to work so instead of me going to family for dinner, I cooked for just the 2 of us before he left for work. I didn’t let the fact that it was just the 2 of us keep me from going all out with the table setting.

So, I dug deep into my stash for the papers and flowers. For my chippies, I used the leafy-corner-flourish-set that first covered in clear gesso. Then I painted it with Prima color bloom 2 spray in Golden Walnut.  It’s a really pretty green gold color, perfect for this challenge.

For the twist I  added a wooden tag, which I hand wrote my part of my title on.

Hi everyone, I love the theme of the autumn. I was inspired by orange and red colors. I created a gradation of colors. I used autumn Leaves chippies that I colorized with acryl paint. There is a VIDEO TUTORIAL of this page in my blog.

To work my background, I used Distressed chevron stamp and Distressed Circle Stamp with Distress ink in tone on tone. I added the black Gears for the contrast.  I’ve applied a various coat of embossing powder in thTogether frame set.

I look forward to your interpretation ! Have fun 🙂

I decided to scrap my daughters 9th grade fall school portrait. I was inspired by the leaves and wagon wheel from the image above. The large number 9 is the wood element used.  All the chipboard was altered in the same manner using the shame products just different colors. The fall frame was altered using rusty paper by viva, rust effect paste in red rust and TH distress paint for berries. The autumn leaves all have a base coat of different color distress stain. I like to start with stains because they get into the engraved parts of the chipboard perfectly. I then layered with TH distress paints and added further details with faber castell big pit pens. The pumpkins were altered using distress stain, paint, red rust paste and apricot glaze. The leaves were altered with different green distress paints. The smaller leaves were also altered with distress stains and paints. The branch was altered with brown rust paste and tan distress paint. The acorn border were altered again first with stain then distress paints. I altered the wagon wheel with distress stain, brown rust and red rust. I also used our new leaves stencil. I will add to store in the next couple days.  Hint: I went darker with the stains to highlight the engraved areas but you can also added white gesso  to highlight for a cool different effect.

I was inspired by the rich autumn colors but also by the apples in the left corner. I used an old MME paper for my background, it’ a was perfect for this challenge. The apple inspiration is represented by this beautiful picture of my son which was taken in our favorite apple orchard three years ago. He was so cute and tiny.

Since my background was busy, I when with a muted color scheme for my papers and embellishments, starting with white gesso, modelling paste and green/brown watercolor accents. Doily Frame was left raw and Autum leaves set were embosseed with metallic powder. Beautiful Day was half and half embossed with cream and metallic embossing powders. I love how it turned out.

One lucky randomly drawn winner will be chosen to win a $50.00 gift voucher to the store.
